How to choose the right ring size for you

EXCHANGES & RETURNS ON ALL RINGS

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to Exchange or Return your ring. We understand how difficult it can be to choose personal items online. Therefore, if you receive a product with quality problems or are not satisfied with the product, please contact us and show proof of purchase, we will return or exchange for you (if you need)

PLEASE NOTE: All rings must be in clean, "unworn," and salable condition to be accepted for return or exchange. We reserve the right to charge a damage fee (30% order amount) on any rings returned with excessive scratching or other abuse.

EXCHANGE TIPS

1. Ring Too Large:

• If you find that the ring slips off your finger when you shake your hand, it might be too large for you.
• Before requesting an exchange, you can print a measurement paper or measure your finger's width and then find the appropriate ring size in the size chart (click here to view the size chart).
• Please contact us afterward to arrange for an exchange.

2. Ring Too Small:

• If you can wear the ring but your finger turns red or purple, it indicates that the ring might be too small. In this case, we recommend taking a deep breath and then trying to increase the size by half.
• If you can't fit the ring over your knuckle at all, you can also use the measurement paper or finger width measurement to find your suitable ring size (click here to view the size chart) and then contact us to arrange for an exchange.

Step2

We will send the confirm mail to you. Then you should ship back the product to the address:

The delivery fee of shipping back should be covered by you if the exchange is due to your reason.

 

Step3

When we received product, we will send the new product to you within 5 days, shipping will take approximately 8-28 business days with standard shipping method.

 

If the wrong or bad item was shipped due to our error, you do not need to return the original item. We will resend the correct item, with an estimated delivery time of 8-28 business days. All shipping costs will be covered by our store.

Step3

When we received product, we will carry out a quality check within 3 business day.

If no problem, we will initiate a refund and inform you with email. You will receive a full refund within 30 days.

If the product is damaged, we will mail to you and provide the proof image. If you confirmed, we would initiate a refund.  

You will receive 70% order amount within 30 days.

The refund will be processed back to your original payment account.

 

Cancel Order

1. If you cancel order before delivery, mail to us at admin@thenordicwood.com, include your email, order number. We will initiate a refund and inform you with email. You will receive a full refund within 30 days.

 

2. If you cancel order after delivery, you can follow the return procedure above.

If you are not satisfied with your purchased ring or need a different size, you are welcome to return or exchange it within 30 days of your delivery date. If you find it necessary to exchange or return your purchased ring, the return must be processed according to our return policy which is outlined in more detail here Return&Exchange Policy

Here are no fees or other hidden additional charges. All we ask is for you to pay the shipping to send it back.

120 Day Perfect Fit Guarantee

If the ring does not fit send it back and we will send you a second one for free. All you need is to pay for the round-trip shipping cost of the ring.

Lifetime Warranty

  In the rare event, your ring becomes damaged in any way we will replace it for free in the first year. The only thing you have to pay is the shipping to send it back. 

IF YOUR RING IS DAMAGED AFTER ONE YEAR

 In the event of damage to your ring after the initial year, we offer a replacement option for a nominal deductible of just $45.00. This will entitle you to receive a brand-new ring, and there is no limit to how many times you can utilize this warranty.

 

WHEN DOES THE WARRANTY PERIOD BEGIN?

The 30-day return, 120-day ring exchange, and warranty periods commence upon your receipt of the ring. 

OUT-OF-STOCK RINGS

If the ring you ordered is unavailable when you request an exchange or resizing, we will permit you to select a new ring of equal or similar value. This warranty applies to the original purchase.

Step 1: Selection and preparation of the wood

A great ring begins with the careful selection of wood. As we are committed to excellence, we choose only the finest woods. Typically, we use wood from specific species, such as Nordic Pinus Wood. These woods have stood up to heavy snowfall and are prized for their superior grain and durability.

Once the wood has been selected, careful preparation begins. The timbers are cut to the right size to fit the ring. They are then finely carved and trimmed to ensure that they are of exceptional quality and will be suitable for creating a unique ring.

Step 2: Preparation and shaping of titanium steel

The inner rings of our rings are usually made of sturdy titanium steel. Titanium steel is a highly durable metal that is ideal for ring making because of its superior resistance to corrosion and scratching.

To begin, we obtain high-quality titanium steel material, which is then cut into uniform rods, depending on the design needs of each ring. These titanium steel rods are then rigorously processed, and precision machines and tools are used to form them into the shape of the ring's casing. They are also polished to a high degree of wearer comfort. This requires a high degree of technical mastery and accuracy.

Step 3: Combining wood and titanium steel

Once the wood and titanium steel were each ready, they needed to be skillfully joined together. One side of the wood is precisely carved to fit the outside of the titanium steel inner ring, ensuring that the two fit tightly and seamlessly together. This requires skill and careful craftsmanship to ensure that each ring has a perfect fit.

The two of them are then securely fastened together.

Step 4: Thinning and Finishing the Exterior Wood of the Ring

After the intricate process of bonding the wood and titanium steel together, the next steps involve refining the exterior wood to perfection.

First, the assembled ring is carefully placed onto a rotary machine. This machine is designed to spin the ring gently while skilled artisans work on it. Using a precision file, they start the process of thinning the wood. This is a crucial step as it ensures that the wood's thickness is uniform and in line with the ring's design specifications.

Once the wood is sufficiently thinned, the artisans then meticulously sand the entire surface with varying grits of sandpaper. This creates a super-smooth texture, eliminating any irregularities, imperfections, or rough patches. It's a time-consuming process that demands unwavering attention to detail.

The final touch involves applying an exceptionally high-grade finish to the surface of the wood. This finish is not a one-time application but a meticulous process that requires multiple coats, often more than ten. This is done to ensure that the wood remains moisture-resistant and waterproof, even under the harshest conditions.
